CHESED VISION STATEMENT
Our vision is to inspire and engage all Congregation households to participate in mitzvot of mutual support and loving kindness for the benefit of the entire congregation.
Our Congregation has informal networks for people to lend support, an ear or meet up for a coffee, starting with the topics of bereavement, cancer and raising kids with special needs.
IF SOMEONE IS ILL OR NEEDS HELP
If you or someone you know is ill, recovering from surgery, or homebound and would like a visitor, please let us know so we can help by contacting us. Marcia Stier continues to Chair our Sunshine activity of sending get well and condolence cards in behalf of our Congregation; however, she can only do so if she receives the relevant information. So if you know of a Temple member who might appreciate such a card, please call Marcia.
Pastoral Care nurses and trained volunteers are available to visit isolated Jewish Seniors in Carteret, Craven, Jones and Pamlico Counties. If you know of an isolated Jewish senior who might appreciate a visit from one of our Pastoral Care nurses or volunteers, please contact Tina Sykes.
Tom Amsler and Carla Byrnes co-chair our Chevra Kadisha and are available in times of need. Our Sisterhood can provide a meal of comfort. Contact Taffy Marron if you need this service.
